The Chrysler Town & Country is a minivan that was manufactured and marketed by Chrysler from the 1990 to the 2016 model years. The tertiary of the Chrysler minivans introduced, the 1990 Boondocks & Country shared its nameplate with the flagship Chrysler station wagon produced from 1941 to 1988. Five generations of the model line were produced, with the Town & Country positioned as the flagship luxury minivan trim package, slotted above the extended wheelbase Dodge Thousand Caravan and Plymouth Grand Voyager.

Originally slated for a 1989 model-year release,^[4] the Chrysler Town & State minivan was introduced in the spring of 1989 as an early on 1990 model (earlier marketing began of the 1990 Dodge and Plymouth counterparts). 1993 Chrysler Town & Country with woodgrain appliqué

Introduced in November 1990, the 1991 through 1995 Town & Country used the Chrysler AS platform. This was the last Town & State that was derived from the Chrysler K platform. 2001–2004 Chrysler Town & Country LXi LWB

2008 model yr [edit]

All 109 Dodge Ram 1500 Plug-in Hybrids and 23 Chrysler Town & Country plug-in hybrids deployed past the program were recalled due to damage sustained by three separate pickup trucks when their 12.9 kWh battery packs overheated. The carmaker plans to upgrade the battery packs with cells that use different lithium-ion chemical science before the vehicles go back on service. Chrysler explained that no ane was injured from whatsoever of the incidents, and the vehicles were not occupied at the fourth dimension, nor any of the minivans were involved in any incident, but they were withdrawn equally a precaution.
